12 Απρ 2022 · About 4 months ago I started getting a recurring "Water in Fuel" error that. would often turn into "reduced engine power". I drained the fuel water separator several times. Never did I see any noticable water in the fuel. I then replaced the filter, cover and sensor assembly.
8 Νοε 2021 · The 2003-2007 Ford 6.0L Powerstroke featured a horizontal fuel conditioning module (HFCM). When debris in the lower cavity builds up this can cause issues with the sensor reading properly and result in the WIF dash light not turning off.
5 Μαΐ 2011 · Water in Fuel sensor is right next to the drain plug on the HFCM. Don't use brake cleaner, use carb cleaner. You can use the little tube that sticks into spray nozzel.
24 Απρ 2004 · 2003-2004 6.0 Water In Fuel Lamp Illuminated: Some trucks may exhibit a water in fuel lamp that continues to illuminate after draining the water separator. This may be due to sedimate build up in the water reservoir. Check the electrical connections at the fuel pump assembly. Remove the fuel manifold and clean it and the water reservoir.
11 Οκτ 2009 · I have a question about my truck, its an 04 king ranch with the 6.0 and the water in fuel light has just started to come on in the last two days. i filled the tank up and put some power service cetane boost in.
27 Ιαν 2008 · If it's gelled your fuel (or frozen in the HFCM), you'll need to warm the whole truck up to get it flowing again. The filter in the HFCM is supposed to have a membrane on it to help prevent water from getting past it. Water at the injector is something that you ABSOLUTELY NEVER want to see happen.
