28 Μαΐ 2017 · I'm looking at a 2013 Fleetwood Excursion with the Cummins ISB 6.7L engine. While I was inspecting it at the dealership, I opened the engine compartment from under the bed to see the top of the engine and crawled underneath to examine the engine.
The Cummins 6.7L is rated at 360HP and 800 lb. ft. torque, compared to 350HP and 1150 lb. ft. torque on the Cummins L9 on the M2 Freightliner chassis which is on the Verona (at $50K more).
1 Σεπ 2021 · In short, the 6.7 ISB is very reliable and a true workhorse. As mentioned, regular maintenance is expected, but there are no outstanding negatives regarding that engine's durability. That being said, all diesel engine from 2007 on should have a water cooled EGR valve and DPF which are emissions systems that can cause headaches.
25 Ιαν 2019 · I'm not sure that the 6.7 L 340 hp cummins with 2500 Allison can handle steep grades a 40 foot with 33,000 lbs towing a car. Does anyone have experience with this engine and trans setup to can give feedback?
22 Νοε 2019 · Remember, this engine was jointly developed by Cummins and Case for tractors and backhoes. Also, this is the same engine Dodge installs in pickups. It is truly a great engine if the gross weight is kept below the 30,000 lb range.
Cummins ISB 6.7-liter straight-six turbodiesel engine is the latest and biggest version of the B series. The ISB 6.7 is also the most powerful diesel engine produced by Cummins (350 hp and 650 lb-ft of torque) for light/medium-duty trucks.
25 Νοε 2009 · The 6.7 is a great motor.. ONCE you remove the emission crap from it, that being the EGR, EGR Cooler, and DPF system, doing all that requires a tuner such as the Black Maxx or Smarty, and a Cold Air Intake.
