6 Δεκ 2010 · Stock 5-lug rear end for a '65-'73 Mustang was an 8-inch. '65/'66 HiPo Mustangs/Shelbys came with a 9-inch. Select performance engined Mustangs from '67-up had 9-inch rears. '65/'66 Mustang rear end [bare] housing width [no brake assemblies/axles] is 52-1/4". '67-'70 bare housing width is 54-1/4". '71-'73 Mustang housing width is 56".
13 Ιουλ 2021 · Everything I have ever read says that a rear end out of a 67-68 mustang is exactly 2 inch's wider and that it will fit under a 65 mustang and you can use the Bullit wheels without a spacer. I pulled a 9 inch from a 67 put it under my 65.
27 Νοε 2015 · Yes, if an 8" diff, it would fit any 8" rear housing. The Pinto/Mustang II had an 8" rear as an option and it would fit the diff in it. It is the same width as a 65/66 Mustang axle housing.

First, the Ford 9” has a third member bolted to the front of the axle housing and there is not a traditional rear housing cover as is found with many other rear ends.
27 Απρ 2002 · Somebody on here posted a chart or a link to a chart with various Ford products axle widths. I searched, but no luck....can anybody help with that? While I am not actively working on the '69 Maverick project, I have collected some parts.
10 Μαρ 2009 · Can anyone tell me the correct axle lengths for my 67 mustang coupe. I'm getting ready to pull out and go through the rear end and I'm curious about lengths. Are they different lengths from right to left?
