6 Δεκ 2010 · Add 5" to these figures and it will give you the overall width from wheel flange-to-wheel flange. The 8.8" rear end wasn't put in service in the Mustangs until 1986, when the Mustangs went to fuel injected 5.0L engines [NOT the same thing as a MODULAR engine].
8 Οκτ 2011 · The Ranger and Aerostar rears are the wrong width for a Mustang, and the pinion is off center as well. Lots of people have used the Explorer rear in 67-70s with no problem.
