18 Ιουν 2024 · AIT is incredibly thorough for an Army Medical Laboratory Specialist (MOS 68K) and lasts 52 weeks. Advanced Individual Training for 68K MOS will take place at a military hospital for residency training.
Medical Laboratory Specialist 68K. As a Medical Laboratory Specialist, you'll have the important responsibility of caring for and aiding in the diagnosis and treatment of the Soldiers. You’ll collect samples from patients and perform chemical and biological tests to help diagnose.
After talking through all the available MOS’s with my recruiter, I was really drawn to 68K. I’ve enjoyed my work as a lab tech and have learned a lot, and now I’m preparing for the next stage of my career – becoming a nurse.
The biggest bonus for 68K is the education. It is also the scariest prospect here. As others have mentioned, pass rates for advanced individual training (to train you to be a 68K) are consistently dismal.
Absolutely go for it and take the training seriously. 68K is a golden opportunity that you don't want to lose because you got caught up playing barracks games with the soldiers around you in AIT.
