The 9:30 Club is absolutely the best place to see live music in DC. It's an all ages club, but there are four bars, a coffee bar, CUPCAKES, and food. The facilities are clean, spacious, and comfortable. The sound is great and the entertainment is always the best!
The 9:30 Club has extensive roots in the D.C. community, it's been around for decades, showcasing all kinds of entertainment. Lots of rock, lots of punk, pop, electronic, metal, spoken word, comedy, etcetera. (Not a lot of country or hip hop/rap.) I have been attending shows here since before it moved to this location, and I love it.
