20 Δεκ 2021 · They both have their pros and cons. The 9×19 Luger cartridge is more powerful and has more stopping power than the 9×18 Makarov cartridge. However, the 9×18 Makarov cartridge is more compact and has a weaker recoil than the Luger round.

7 Οκτ 2020 · #1. Interesting video on the effectiveness of the 9x18 Makarov cartridge. I've seen the Makarov firearm for sale at Classic Firearms (I don't own one), but found it interesting to learn that the Glock G43 has a conversion kit to fire the 9x18 cartridge.
12 Σεπ 2013 · Ammo for the 9mm Ultra (Police) is not easy to find. The 9x18 ammo is readily available but WILL NOT work in it. Quite a difference in bullet diameter for starters. The Ultra is basically a (1mm) longer version of a .380, which some people claim it will fire in the Ultra's chamber, but fits sloppy. Ultra ammo is out there, just not on most shelves.
13 Μαΐ 2024 · 9×18 ammo can be a viable choice for concealed carry due to its manageable size, reputable performance in self-defense situations, and the availability of compact firearms chambered in this cartridge.
For everyone complaining about the price, this brand is often TMJ - total metal jacket, or no exposed lead at the bottom of the bullet. Also one of the few truly independent brands out there and made in USA.
