In my opinion and experience the 1.9TiD is the best diesel engine the 9-3 ever had available. It is very reliable and with the 170ish Hirsch HP tuning it will also be very fuel efficient (for its age and weight). I drove one from 225.000 km to 275.000+ km and never had any engine related issues.
