  6. On 5.0L engines, install camshaft synchronizer into cylinder block making sure that arrow on Syncro Positioning Tool T96T-12200-A is pointing forward parallel to center line of crankshaft. This step will locate camshaft position sensor electrical connector to the pre-removal position.

  7. Install sprockets and timing chain on the camshaft and crankshaft simultaneously. Verify timing marks on the sprockets are positioned correctly. Ford Racing timing sets have a 9-position crank gear. If using the 0 mark, crank key must align with key way below 0 mark.
