All things being equal, there is no difference in accuracy between the 9mm and 45 ACP. However, there is one caveat and that would be muzzle velocity. As the 9mm round fires a lighter bullet at a higher velocity, it will have less bullet drop over distance making it the better choice for long range shots.
Velocity and Recoil. Traveling between 950-1400 FPS, the 9mm has a higher muzzle velocity in part due to its smaller diameter and lighter bullets. The higher velocity of the 9mm can also contributes to increased accuracy and to slightly better bullet expansion (as a percent increase).
With all the data averaged, split times were 18 percent faster with the 9mm. This essentially means we could accurately fire five to six 9mm rounds as fast as we could accurately fire four 45 ACP...
3 Μαΐ 2021 · If you believe that the bigger 11.43mm projectile is superior to the 9mm Luger projectile, then 45 ACP is the way for you to go. However, if you think that having 13 to 19 rounds of ammo in a smaller or the same size gun is better so you can shoot multiple targets, then 9mm is the way to go.
4 Ιουλ 2019 · The .45 acp bounced off the helmet at 35 yards while the 9mm penetrated the helmet at an astonishing 125 yards proving that the 9mm with its higher velocity, flatter trajectory and higher capacity (they used a Canadian High Power) that the 9mm was the superior combat pistol and caliber period.
21 Απρ 2022 · The 9mm cartridge has a muzzle velocity of around 950 – 1400 feet per second, while the 45 ACP cartridge has a muzzle velocity of around 700 – 1150 feet per second. This means that the 9mm cartridge can be traveling twice as fast as the .45 ACP cartridge.
