27 Μαρ 2022 · Contacted Canon and they were totally clueless. Kept running me through the script. Tried hacking in to msetup4.ini and changing the [checkAdmin] switch, but there was no admin switch. What finally worked is to ignore the setup Driver setup package (Windows) which is the app with the problem.

27 Ιαν 2023 · When using Windows 11 or Windows 10, you may not be able to correctly install the Generic Plus driver via a USB connection, depending on the model. In this case, follow the procedure below to reinstall or update the driver.

Re-install the latest printer driver. Get the most recent driver package from Canon Support. If your product issue isn't resolved after following the steps above, or if you require additional help, please create or log in to your Canon Account to see your additional options.
Make sure that the printer is not displaying any errors (flashing lights or error codes on the screen). If the printer is in an error state (paper jam, ink has run out, etc.) please address the error state first.
