2 ημέρες πριν · This excellent digital exhibit, Parks, Sanctuaries, and Ecotourism, developed by USF Libraries’ Florida Environment & Natural History Special Collections team, delves into the history of U.S. National Parks as well as some of Florida’s beloved State Parks and Preserves– including the nation’s first underwater park!
Experience Florida as it was before interstates, high-rises and air conditioning. Florida State Parks preserve and share the story of the state and its people through many historical and cultural sites.
2 Δεκ 2020 · Matthew Edney explores the history of maps and games, beginning with the three basic forms of early map games: playing cards, board games, and puzzles, all of which had the “improvement” of youth as their aim.
Students will create a historical timeline, a postcard, a spider map, and a fun facts storyboard showing what they have learned about Florida. Creating these visuals gives the students the opportunity to show their creativity and their unique view of the state that they have researched.
