Third Step Prayer. God, I offer myself to Thee to build with me and to do with me as Thou wilt. Relieve me of the bondage of self, that I may better do Thy will. Take away my difficulties, that victory over them may bear witness to those I would help of Thy Power, Thy Love, and Thy Way of life.
Step Three. “Made a decision to turn our will and our lives over to the care of God as we understood Him.”. PRACTICING Step Three is like the opening of a door. which to all appearances is still closed and locked. All we need is a key, and the decision to swing the door open. There is only one key, and it is called willingness.
PRAYER - God, keep me on the path to You. Guide my thoughts, actions, words and deeds so that I may continue to do Your will. Give me power to carry this out. REWARD - Promises below, including: Don’t tire so easily because burn up less energy on self . NOTES . a) STEP SIMPLIFIED: Ask God to show me how to live.
Step Eleven. “Sought through prayer and meditation to im-prove our conscious contact with God as we un-derstood Him, praying only for knowledge of His will for us and the power to carry that out.” PRAYER and meditation are our principal means of con- scious contact with God.
SERENITY PRAYER. GOD, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, courage to change the things I can, and wisdom to know the difference. AMEN. (Continued below) Living one day at a time; enjoying one moment at a time; accepting hardship as the pathway to peace.
The Eleventh Step Prayers. God, direct my thinking today so that it be empty of self pity, dishonesty, self-will, self-seeking and fear. God, inspire my thinking, decisions and intuitions. Help me to relax and take it easy.
