If you’re an AAdvantage member, head to Travel Planner and update your profile to include your AAdvantage number. Your AAdvantage number will then automatically be added to any future non-rev listings. You can also manually add your AAdvantage number when you’re listing for non-rev travel.
Yeah, if you don't work for AA, you have to talk to an agent. Not even the kiosks will work. Make sure you're ticketed AND listed, it saves a bit of time. Also, AAs list is in order of check in time - so get there early!
