In essence, SRs compile the results of two or more independent studies on the same subject. SRs may or may not have quantitative component to summarize the outcomes of the studies reviewed (viz. meta-analysis).
The present article aims to solve the issue related to lacking of methodological guidance and less suitability of existing methodological references by providing a general under-standing of basic methodologies for SLR that can guide non-health related scholars in their review.
