Abraham and Sarah left Egypt and returned to live in Canaan. They brought food and animals from Egypt with them. Canaan was part of the land the Lord promised them. Genesis 13:1–4, 12; Abraham 2:19
A prophet of the Lord with whom the Lord made eternal covenants, through which all the nations of the earth are blessed. Abraham was originally named Abram. Migrated to Haran, where Terah died, Gen. 11:31–32 (Abr. 2:1–5).
Abrahamic Covenant. Abraham made covenants with God when he received the gospel, when he was ordained a high priest, and when he entered into celestial marriage. In these covenants, God promised great blessings to Abraham and his family.
By doing so, we see the hand of God in Abraham’s request of Sarah, for Abraham’s actions initiated a confrontation between himself and Pharaoh. Because of Abraham’s obedience, God was able to introduce Himself to the Egyptian Pharaoh in power and glory. Even though it was only the first
