Certain parts of the mod are perceived as "too destructive" by some, and there are a plethora of options to tune a lot of that. Currently all plans on porting past 1.12.2 are on hold, and will remain so for the foreseeable future. At some point in the future there will be ports, but not now.
Since I've found myself in a situation where I'm not gonna port the mod past 1.12.2 at any point in the near future, I've decided to go through with some of the planned changes and do them in 1.12.2 instead.
