26 Αυγ 2020 · A recent retrospect cohort study utilizing data from the National Cancer Database (NCD) sought to determine whether the receipt of adjuvant chemotherapy was associated with survival benefits in patients aged 70 years or older with multiple comorbidities and with node-positive, estrogen-receptor (ER)-positive BC.
Results. Of the 4689 patients treated with chemotherapy over the 5 year period, 133 patients (3%) were ≥ 80 years old. The median age was 83 years. 61% were females and 39% were males. 16% had hematologic tumors and 84% had solid tumors.
