Treatment overview. This treatment regimen consists of two parts: 4 cycles of AC, followed by 4 cycles of TH and 13 cycles of trastuzumab. Breast neoadjuvant/adjuvant AC (DOXOrubicin and CYCLOPHOSPHamide) three weekly. Breast adjuvant TH (DOCEtaxel and trastuzumab) three weekly.
Cancer treatment can have harmful effects on fertility and this should be discussed with all patients of reproductive potential prior to commencing treatment. There is a risk of foetal harm in pregnant women. A pregnancy test should be considered prior to initiating treatment in females of reproductive potential if sexually active.
