24 Φεβ 2021 · The use of ACL reconstruction in patients aged 50 years or older decreased over time (P = .044). Patients aged 50 years or older were more likely to experience at least 1 postoperative complication within 90 days compared to patients younger than 50 years (2.5% vs 2.1%, P = .007).

12 Δεκ 2014 · Patients aged ≥60 years with symptomatic instability from ACL injury can have good to excellent subjective outcomes with surgical reconstruction. Clinical Relevance: Physicians who treat active patients older than 60 years should not exclude ACL reconstruction based on the patient’s age alone.
The primary outcome measure was clinical and functional results, including failure rate defined as reoperation for revision ACL surgery or conversion to total knee arthroplasty; secondary outcomes included radiological findings, expressed according to the validated grading score. Results: A total of 16 studies were found suitable and included.
