28 Οκτ 2018 · In this article, we describe the surgical techniques for primary ACL repair with dynamic intraligamentary stabilisation (DIS) and internal brace ligament augmentation (IBLA), and provide an overview of the normal and abnormal findings after such repair at MRI follow-up.
3 Νοε 2022 · MRI evidence of ACL healing at 2-year follow-up was observed in 16 of 54 (30%, 95% CI 19 to 43%) participants randomised to optional delayed ACLR. Excluding participants who had delayed ACLR, 16 of 30 (53%, 36–70%) participants managed with rehabilitation-alone displayed MRI evidence of ACL healing.
Abstract. Disruption of the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) is a common injury. In active patients, it is routinely treated with ACL reconstruction surgery. Following reconstruction, one of the critical decisions that must be made is the optimal timing of return to sport.
ACL continuity on MRI (Anterior Cruciate Ligament OsteoArthritis Score 0-2) was considered evidence of ACL healing. Outcomes included Knee Injury and Osteoarthritis Outcome Score (KOOS), KOOS patient acceptable symptomatic state (PASS) and treatment failure criteria.
We hypothesized that meniscus and articular cartilage injuries, revision ACL reconstruction, subsequent knee surgery, and certain demographic characteristics would be significant risk factors for inferior outcomes at 10 years. Study Design. Prospective longitudinal cohort study. Methods.

Abstract. ACL injuries occur at a high frequency in the US with approximately 400,000 ACL reconstructions being performed each year 1. While ACL reconstruction is our current gold standard of treatment, it does not restore joint motion 2 – 4, or prevent the premature development of post-traumatic osteoarthritis (PTOA) in many patients 5 – 9.
