  1. 17 Νοε 2022 · The current meta-analysis and systematic review found that there were no significant differences in operative time, range of motion, knee stability, Tegner score, IKDC rating scale, and incidence of the most frequent complications between early and elective delayed ACLR, regardless of the follow-up duration.

  2. Results. A total of 1592 patients were enrolled (57% male; median age 24 years). Ten-year follow-up was obtained on 83% (1320) of the cohort. Both IKDC and KOOS scores significantly improved at 2 years and were maintained at 6 and 10 years.

  3. Overall ACL repair survivorship ranged from 60.0% to 100.0%. In subgroup analysis for proximal ruptures treated with repair, the rates of revision ACL reconstruction (ACLR) and total reoperations were as high as 12.9% and 18.2%, respectively.

  4. 2 Ιουν 2024 · ACL tear is a very common ligament injury, with an annual incidence of about 68.6 cases per 100,000 people, accounting for more than 50% of knee injuries [1], leading to chronic knee instability and seriously affecting athletic capabilities and overall quality of life of patients.

  5. 21 Σεπ 2023 · Measurement of success following anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction (ACLR) hinges on the appropriate use of high quality and meaningful outcome measures. We identified and categorized over 100 outcome measures for ACLR using the International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (ICF) model.

  6. 7 Ιαν 2021 · Our study suggests that delayed ACL surgery significantly resulted in higher risk of meniscus tear and cartilage injury and decreased Lysholm and Tegner scores compared to early ACL surgery.

  7. 9 Ιαν 2024 · Despite a high prevalence of radiographic OA, patients achieved acceptable subjective knee function and had a relatively low prevalence of symptomatic OA at >30 years after an ACL injury when an initial nonoperative treatment strategy was employed.
