12 Νοε 2020 · This document sets forth final regulations providing guidance relating to the life expectancy and distribution period tables that are used to calculate required minimum distributions from qualified retirement plans, individual retirement accounts and annuities, and certain other tax-favored employer-provided retirement arrangements.
View the most current version of this document at opm.gov/retirement-center/quick-guide. Your agency completes your retirement package and submits to the payroll ofice. Your payroll ofice issues your final paycheck and lump-sum payment for any unused annual leave.
If you’ve been receiving retirement benefits for less than 1 year and are eligible for a cost-of-living adjustment, you’ll get a percentage of the cost-of-living increase. The percentage depends on how long you were receiving your annuity before the effective date of the increase.

8 Φεβ 2024 · If you leave federal service before you meet the age and service requirements for an immediate retirement benefit, you may be eligible for deferred retirement benefits. To be eligible, you must have completed at least 5 years of creditable civilian service.
