The Nurse finds Romeo, and he gives her a message for Juliet: meet me at Friar Lawrence’s cell this afternoon, and we will there be married. Enter Benvolio and Mercutio.

Romeo is back to normal, Mercutio observes—all because he "hid his bauble in a hole." Juliet's nurse and Peter arrive. The nurse says good morning, but Mercutio retorts in suggestive language that it's nearly noon. The nurse scolds him for the crude remark, then requests a private chat with Romeo.
