14 Σεπ 2017 · The variant lymphocyte in the centre has a classical so called “Ballerina skirt” appearance with scalloped margins and indentations by the surrounding red blood cells. The cytoplasm is vacuolated. Further testing demonstrated positive monospot test confirming Infectious mononucleosis.
Images were taken of melanocytic naevi (3), solar lentigines (3), seborrhoeic keratosis, basal cell carcinoma (3), squamous cell carcinoma in situ (2), and superficial spreading melanoma in situ using various cameras and dermatoscopes for comparative purposes.
