Adana, city, south-central Turkey. It is situated in the plain of Cilicia, on the Seyhan River (the ancient Sarus River). An agricultural and industrial centre and the country’s fourth largest city, it probably overlies a Hittite settlement that dates from approximately 1400 bce, and its history.

The Great Mosque of Adana (Turkish: Adana Ulu Camii), also known as the Ramazanoglu Mosque (Turkish: Ramazanoğlu Camii), is a 16th-century mosque in Adana, Turkey. It forms part of a complex that includes a madrasah and a mausoleum . The complex is on Kızılay Street, next to the Ramazanoğlu Hall.
It stands as a symbol of religious and spiritual spirit of the city and remains a popular destination amongst locals and tourists alike. The mosque has a beautiful courtyard with a main prayer hall and several smaller prayer rooms.
