14 Φεβ 2017 · I'm using Windows 10 and the naming convention limitation after installing Adobe Acrobat Reader is 55 characters. My .pdf file naming convention includes long descriptions that exceed this limitation (why - assists with limiting search results when searching in windows explorer).
26 Ιουλ 2022 · Recently, when exporting an InDesign document to a PDF or going to rename an Acrobat PDF File I keep getting "the file name or path is too long". This has not been an issue in the past, as I have current file names longer than what I was trying to do. It seems it won't let me go over 25 characters.
11 Αυγ 2020 · However, Adobe Acrobat DC (and Acrobat Reader DC) still cannot open files with paths longer than 255 characters. We have tested this in multiple scenarios and have found that Acrobat has this problem with any long file path.
14 Μαρ 2019 · Acrobar Reader DC is still not capable to open files with paths longer than 255 chars. This is a serious problem, and it's not a problem of the OS (Windows 10/2016 support long paths). The problem in details have been described in these topics:
13 Μαΐ 2021 · Hello, i faced with a problem during file opening. I cant open pdf with long path, its approximate 190 over characters. I can open odt or ods formats, but not pdf. Is where any limit on max file path of pdf files on windows?, cos all works on linux.

Aug 12, 2021. There must be a folder+file length limitation within Adobe Acrobat DC, because we have had similar issues to the problem described above. Our solution was to shorten sub folder and file names to stay below a 128 character limit. Clearly this only happens with PDF's in adobe.
