9 Δεκ 2023 · This issue, dedicated to neonates, is Part I of a two-part series providing a comprehensive overview of current and future changes in clinical practice. Most Neonatal Intensive Care Units (NICUs) now have cohesive multidisciplinary teams that function within a uniform unit culture.
The introduction of new roles for health care professionals in tertiary care NICUs requires the support of key individuals and the evaluation of these providers with regard to availability, feasibility of the new role within the unit structure, acceptability and cost effectiveness.
