Town Village Aegina: Aegina Town is the capital and main port of the island. It is a lovely little town, with beautiful neoclassical buildings of different bright colours, narrow streets, picturesque cafes, nice squares and a lovely port where tiny coloured fishing boats are mooring.

6 Ιουν 2019 · Aegina is a Greek island in the Sarconic Gulf Islands. Only 17 miles by ferry from Athens, it is close enough for some of the 11,000 residents to commute to Greece's largest city each day. The regular ferry takes about an hour and 15 minutes, and the fast ferry (hydrofoil) takes about 40 minutes.
Aegina’s long summers, mild winters and proximity to Athens make it a year-long holiday destination. You’ll find antiquities and traditional tavernas, a port town with a 19th-century atmosphere, beaches, deserted Byzantine chapels, as well as pine-clad hills and mounds of freshly roasted pistachios.
