  3. Cereal agriculture was the necessary basis of any civilization in early ancient times. In the last half-century, Chinese archeologists have made many new discoveries about Chinese prehistoric civilization.

  4. Part 1 presents the author’s analysis of important aspects of agricultural development in Han China, ranging from government policy to farming conditions and the non-agricultural alternative for the farmer.
