While this is great, I just tested the opentrack+smoothtrack solution, which works perfectly. Will cost you $10-$12 on the Google or IOS store though for smoothtrack. In a nutshell, you turn your phone into a networked head tracker (smoothtrack), sending the info via udp to opentrack.

26 Απρ 2021 · To be fair, though, TrackIR is still considered to be superior in its accuracy and smoothness but AITrack and OpenTrack trumps it in one critical area: it's free. The two programs work in conjunction with each other and, yes, it does eat a bit of your CPU but not as much as you might think.

AI Track + OpenTrack would be the cheapest option to try assuming you already have a webcam. Just keep in mind that facial tracking will never be as good as IR trackers. There are 2 main options that are cheaper than TrackIR and work just as well, if not better.
