Akai Professional MPC One So which one of these is best for just making beats in my living room? And hopefully learning how to sample, which is something I've never done before.
The MPK Mk2 is my preferred on the go midi controller. It fits in my backpack, and it packs so much utility. The programmable CC messages on the knobs and the drum pads just make controlling Ableton Live feel so much better for me. I specifically recommend ClyphX Pro for this purpose.
I have the Akai MPK mini, running MPC beats on my laptop. I'm using a Scarlet 2i2 audio interface. I have MAudio speakers that came with the Akai MPK. They at times sound a little choppy so I'm thinking of upgrading or it might just be how i have things setup. I have a Rocksville 8in sub as well.
16 Ιουλ 2013 · i think Akai might be the winner of the "done the most well" manufacturer, if not a close contender. They seem to have made a wide variety of products well, but not quite the top in any category.
