The Land of Lakes Hunting Retriever Club was started in 1996. Since then we have become a fixture on the MN Hunt Test scene. Over 40 members strong, LLHRC is a fun group of retriever enthusiasts, dedicated to preserving game through great dogs, and lots of fun!
Our membership serves Southern Minnesota, Northern Iowa and Western Wisconsin dog handlers at all levels of experience. We offer opportunities to train these wonderful versatile breeds in the field, learn from each other, build lasting relationships, hunt test and ultimately hunt!
The GMHTA has become an organization of nearly twenty retriever clubs from Minnesota, Wisconsin, North Dakota and Iowa dedicated to the growth and improvement of our sport. We have clubs affiliated with the American Kennel Club, the Hunting Retriever Club, the United Kennel Club, and the North American Hunting Retriever Association.
