Renew Your License (Residents) Adjuster (Non-resident) Adjuster licenses are renewed biennially. Effective 1-1-19, adjusters are allowed to renew their license online 90 days prior to their birth month until the last day of their birth month, with a renewal fee of $80.

Licensees can file a license renewal online in one of two ways: Industry Access Portal: Producers and adjusters may file a renewal through the Producer/Adjuster Portal Module in Industry Access. The option for renewal will appear 90 days before expiration of the license.
Over One (1) year after license expiration, all individuals must reapply through NIPR's Non-Resident Adjuster License Application.

Beginning January 2014 continuing education is required for the independent adjuster license renewal as per the new Adjuster law (Act 2011-637 that went into effect January 1, 2012.) Independent Adjusters and Alabama DHS will be required to complete 24 CE hours of which 3 should be in ethics.
