The Law Enforcement Academy is a rigorous 14-week training program designed to prepare you for work as a law enforcement professional. The program provides basic police training that can qualify you for certification by the Alaska Police Standards Council.
Recruits received intensive instruction in law enforcement-related topics, use-of-force and de-escalation, physical fitness, and many scenario-based exercises designed to prepare entry-level police officers and Troopers for successful careers in Alaska law enforcement.
28 Μαΐ 2024 · FAIRBANKS, Alaska (KTVF) - The Alaska Law Enforcement Training Academy welcomed 26 new law enforcement officers in a graduation ceremony on Friday, May 24. After 17 weeks of rigorous training, the new officers received their badges.
Successful completion of the Public Safety Core enables students to apply for a basic law enforcement certificate from the Alaska Police Standards Council after one year of employment as a municipal police officer or State Trooper. This is the Academy Training Schedule.
