The City of College Station currently has nine baseball fields, 12 softball fields, and 21 multi-purpose fields available for reservation. Reservations are handled on a first-come, first- served basis, not to interfere with scheduled league activities.
The complex features 13 multi-purpose fields (4 synthetic) and five natural grass softball fields. Amenities include lights on all fields, batting cages, playgrounds, wi-fi connectivity, pavilion, and more. Tucked away in the park is a 12-acre site dedicated to veterans from our nation’s wars.

One thing I’ve noticed is a fair amount of schools have all turf fields, including the infield, dirt and pitchers mound look like they’re made of turf too. Is there any benefit to it or is it just easier to maintain than grass and actual dirt?
We offer a wide variety of sports leagues and instructional classes throughout the year for all ages and abilities, from recreational to competitive. Parents and friends of youth athletes are encouraged to be more than mere spectators, by contributing their time as volunteer coaches.
Kentucky bluegrass is easily the most popular type of playing surface found in major league baseball; it's the full field grass of choice for 16 ballparks. Additionally, a 17th ballpark, Citizens Bank Park, has a Kentucky bluegrass infield.
19 Νοε 2010 · I had a team play on a field like this several years ago but it was all grass except for cutouts around each base and the mound. It basically looked like a turf field from the 80's. Overall it didn't look bad but when you got on it there were several places that weren't very good.
