Is 9.99% apr for 48 months better than 7.99% apr for 12 months? I am currently sitting on a 29.74% apr and have almost maxed out my card and I would like to pay it and get somewhere. I feel like I am just paying and still the debt is increasing.
AMEX is offering a “financial relief program” where they will lower my monthly payments and interest rate. My current monthly payment varies but for this month is $414 and my APR 29.24%. They are offering monthly payments of $217 for 12 months at 7.99%. During this time they do not charge late fees or annual membership fees.
