Lanie is a ten-year-old girl living in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Lanie is the middle of three children; she has a younger sister named Emily and an older sister named Angela. She enjoys science and nature, and considers herself a scientist.
I started this blog years ago to review my favorite childhood "girl series," Sleepover Friends. However, that project never got finished, and I've decided to expand this into a general book review blog. I've got a lot stored from my years on LJ, so it will be a rather eclectic mix.

Her mom and dad both have inside jobs, her 16-year-old sister Angela is obsessed with playing the cello, and her sister Emily, who is a first-grader, is afraid of bugs.

She's always done the experiments with her friend, but now Dakota is in an Indonesian rainforest for six months, having real scientific adventures.
