Bob Hope Patriotic Hall is a 10-story building that was dedicated as Patriotic Hall by the Los Angeles Board of Supervisors in 1925 and was built to serve veterans of Indian Wars, Spanish–American War, World War I and to support the Grand Army of the Republic.
The building features a ballroom, a cabaret-style dining room, auditorium, four-room museum, library, conference room, dressing rooms, and a Deco bar. In 1989 the clubhouse was designated as an historic location by the City of Los Angeles. The museum holds a treasure trove of military memorabilia.

American Legion Post 43, in Hollywood, California was founded in 1919 by World War I veterans in the motion picture business such as founding members Cecil B. DeMille, Walter Long, and Adolph Menjou.
Fantastic architecture, friendly staff and members proud of the history of Post 43. We were lucky enough to see a movie inside the theatre, but then stuck around afterwards and member's invited us to come have a drink at the basement bar and look around at the history covering the walls.
5 Μαρ 2018 · The physical revitalization occurring at the iconic Hollywood American Legion Post 43 building in Los Angeles is bigger than the state-of-the-art theater that is under construction. When it opens in late April, the Hollywood Legion Theater is going to be a destination for military-related programming.
