The Indiana & Ohio Railway (reporting mark IORY) is an American railroad that operates 570 miles (920 km) of track in Ohio, southern Michigan, and parts of southeastern Indiana. It is owned and operated by Genesee & Wyoming , who acquired the railroad in the 2012 purchase of RailAmerica .

10 Σεπ 2024 · The C&LE was able to turn around the misfortunes of its latter two acquisitions (the IC&E and LT) and with a sizable base of freight traffic on a railroad that stretched over 200 miles in three different states (Ohio, Indiana and Michigan) the system was one of the most profitable interurbans to ever operate.
15 Μαρ 2021 · According to the Electric Railway Journal, in 1909 the Ohio Electric Railway was the biggest interurban system in the world, comprising 617 miles of track, most of which was on private right-of-way. The line ran from Cincinnati to Toledo and connected Ohio interurbans to Indiana lines.
