Wisconsin is definitely Amish Country, home to several Amish communities, with the largest Amish settlements of Dalton and Kingston being a leisurely drive from Adeline's.
The Kingston-Dalton-Marquette, Redgranite, and Richford areas are home to several authentic Amish retail specialty shops selling handcrafted furniture to lumber, general store items to fresh produce, greenhouses, cheese, and candy, and much more…all within easy driving distance to each other.
Later settlements were made near Hillsboro, in the Liberty Pole Area south of Viroqua, in the Chaseburg and Stoddard areas of western Vernon County, and also on the Sugar Grove ridge of northeastern Crawford County. Together, these areas make up the Driftless Wisconsin Amish Country.
