6 ημέρες πριν · The nerves of the leg and foot arise from spinal nerves connected to the spinal cord in the lower back and pelvis. As these nerves descend toward the thighs, they form two networks of crossed nerves known as the lumbar plexus and sacral plexus.
A lower limb neurological examination is part of the general neurological examination and is used to assess the integrity of motor and sensory nerves which supply the lower limb. SENSORY DISTRIBUTION. Fig. 20.1 shows the cutaneous distribution of the main nerves of the upper limb, and Fig. 20.2 shows the dermatomal pattern.
