However, articulations exist between the proximal radius and the humerus as well as the proximal radius and ulna. The three articulations are referred to as the ulnohumeral, radiohumeral, and proximal radioulnar joints respectively.

The arm consists of the humerus, which articulates proximally and distally. Proximally, the humerus articulates with the scapula at the glenohumeral (shoulder) joint.
