These few, however, provide a wealth of information on how the Egyptians saw disease and what they believed would alleviate a patient's symptoms or lead to a cure.
The majority of our knowledge about Ancient Egyptian medicine comes from medical papyruses and tomb inscriptions. Ancient Egyptians often used natural remedies to treat illnesses. As time went on, they developed more theories about how the human body worked and how they could treat various ailments.
