14 Απρ 2001 · The first animal crossing game that was unfortunately never released outside of japan. I've included both the English fan translation and the original Japanese file.
This is a WIP translation project for Doubutsu no Mori or Animal Forest aka Animal Crossing. Not only does it appear to convert the game to English, but a lot of information is also contained within it. It still needs some work, but a lot of hacking work appears to have been done on the game.

12 Απρ 2015 · This old N64 game looks pretty good, except for the inventory screen which is completely black or corrupted depending on which video plugin you pick. Probably something to do with 2D moving backgrounds, if the screen looks anything like in the Gamecube version.
24 Αυγ 2024 · Doubutsu no Mori (Animal Forest) is a late-era Japan-only Nintendo 64 game that was re-released for the GameCube in Japan, then updated and released in the western world as Animal Crossing, and that version was re-re-released in Japan and (finally) released to the rest of the world, except for China, which got the original Nintendo 64 version ...
I wanted to play a bit of Animal Forest on my Everdrive/n64. Since my japanese is a bit rusty, I began looking for an english translation patch. After a bit of google work, I found out that some of the patches have severe issues and tend to crash the game or kill safe files.
