An annotated bibliography gives an account of the research that has been done on a given topic. Like any bibliography, an annotated bibliography is an alphabetical list of research sources. In addition to bibliographic data, an annotated bibliography provides a concise summary of each source and some assessment of its value or relevance.
In most contexts, however, the annotation of the bibliography is not a global property of the .bib entry itself, but a specific annotation related to a particular research project, and so would be better done by making the annotations part of the main text. 18 Μαρ 2022 · The documentation specifies the annotation field and even goes so far as to mention it's use in annotated bibliographies: annotation field (literal) This field may be useful when implementing a style for annotated bibliographies... The problem is, I do not know how to invoke the annotated bibliography "style" using biblatex.
11 Ιουλ 2019 · I'm working on an annotated bibliography project. I have one bib file and need two bibliographies: one sorted chronologically, and the other sorted alphabetically. I want both bibliographies to include all the bib entries in my bib file. Moreover, in the bib file, each entry has a NOTE field which contains a summary of the paper/book.
19 Νοε 2018 · As this is an annotated bibliography, I assume it is made for your own consumption and thus an APA style is not really a strict requirement. Given that, biblatex offers the reading style, which prints, alongside the entries the annotation , abstract , library and file fields (you can control which are printed through load time options).
There is the annotation field, it is however not use by the standard biblatex styles ("This field may be useful when implementing a style for annotated bibliographies. It is not used by all standard bibliography styles.", p. 15 §2.2.2 Data Fields). There are addendum ("Miscellaneous bibliographic data to be printed at the end of the entry.
