29 Απρ 2024 · With an estimated SMR between 5.9 and 15.9 (i.e., 6–16 times excess mortality), AN is considered one of the deadliest mental disorders [2, 3]. Studies indicate that the overall incidence rate for AN has remained relatively stable (4% female lifetime-0.3% male lifetime) since the 1970s [2, 4].
1 Μαρ 2000 · RESULTS. A total of 77 women (3.6%) met our expanded criteria for anorexia nervosa—11 (0.5%), 29 (1.3%), and 37 (1.7%) for each of our three definitions, respectively. Of these, 18 monozygotic and 20 dizygotic female co-twins (N=38, 49.4%) also had a lifetime diagnosis of major depression.
