It is the policy of the Administrative Office of Pennsylvania Courts (AOPC) that index, docket and case file information for all matters originating in a District Justice office are public records and shall be available for inspection and photocopying upon request in a reasonable manner.
In order to expedite the approval process where public health and safety concerns are present, the Record Disposal Certification Request form should be submitted by electronic mail or fax. The AOPC will return a copy of the request form reflecting the decision to authorize or deny the request.
CH users must also create a user name and password and utilize a 2nd factor authentication, one-time passcode (OTP), to access criminal history applications. Later this month, OTP will be expanded to all users and will be part of the normal logon process.
In 2005, the Pennsylvania Justice Network (JNET), the Pennsylvania State Police (PSP), and the Administrative Office of the Pennsylvania Courts (AOPC) began developing an electronic warrant issuance process for all Magesterial District Judge and Common Pleas warrants.
