19 Δεκ 2023 · AUNE AR5000- The New AR DD with a pleasant listening space. Pros: Subbass has good quality. Impactful bass. Beautiful mids. Great separation. Good extension in the notes. Good cohesion between different instruments. Smooth treble. Cons: Subbass quantity could be increased a bit more. Treble air presence needs to be a bit more.
Review. Aune is mainly known for DAC/AMPs and IEMs. This time they released an over-ear headphone, the AR5000. It caught my eye because of the promising FR they advertised. Naturally, I bought a pair to see what it's all about. Good news – they do measure up to their ad.

An outstanding performer, excellent build quality very rugged. Frequency accuracy was superb, sensitivity was excellent, selectivity was good and further enhanced when I fitted an RCA socket to the rear panel and wired it so my Timewave 599zx could use the excellent internal speaker.
