  5. The AP Biology Exam assesses student understanding of the science practices and learning objectives outlined in the course framework. The exam is 3 hours long and includes 60 multiple-choice questions and 6 free-response questions.

  6. 1. The syllabus includes a resource section where a list of primary resources for AP Biology instruction is provided. The resource section includes the title and author of a college-level biology textbook (copy available to student in print or online) with a publication date within the last 10 years.

  7. Students must have completed one year of a high school level biology course and one year of a high school level chemistry course prior to enrolling in AP Biology. These two courses prepare students to be successful in an introductory college level biology course.
